Toni Gutschlag

Toni Gutschlag is an experienced leader in the mental health sector, currently serving as the Executive Director of Mental Health and Clinical Support at Eastern Health since July 2023. Gutschlag holds a significant role as a member of the International Initiative for Mental Health Leadership since 2010. Previous positions include Executive Director of Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Services at the Southern District Health Board in New Zealand from February 2022 to July 2023, and Acting Deputy Director-General of Mental Health and Addiction at the Ministry of Health New Zealand from January 2020 to August 2021. Gutschlag's distinguished career also includes a tenure as General Manager of Mental Health at Canterbury District Health Board and co-chairing the National Mental Health KPI Programme. Gutschlag's educational background includes an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Massey University.
