William Oldford has a strong background in the banking and legal industries. William began their career in 1989 as an Attorney at Edwards, White and Sooy, where they worked until 1992. From 1992 to 1999, they served as an Attorney at Christensen & Ehret. In 1999, they joined First Michigan Bank as a Senior Vice President and Senior Trust Officer, a role they held until 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Shareholder and Attorney at Hill Devendorf, P.C. Following this, they joined Talmer Bank and Trust, where they held various roles, including Regional President - Northeast Michigan and Executive Managing Director - Wealth Management. In 2015, they joined Eastern Michigan Bank as President, and in 2020, they were promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer and President.
William Oldford has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan. William also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. In addition, they have pursued further education at the Wayne State University Law School, where they obtained an LLM degree in Tax with a specialization in Estate and Gift Tax. William further pursued a Doctor of Law degree from the California Western School of Law. Prior to their higher education, they attended Culver Academies. William Oldford holds certifications as an attorney from the State Bar of Michigan, the Illinois Bar Foundation, and the State Bar of California.
