Jennifer Shimmin is a seasoned professional in water conservation and management, currently serving as the Director of Water Use Efficiency at Eastern Municipal Water District since November 2022. In this role, Jennifer oversees the Conservation workgroup and collaborates with the Recycled Water Programs workgroup, focusing on the beneficial use of both potable and non-potable water. Prior to this position, Jennifer held the role of Conservation Manager at Coachella Valley Water District, where programs and workshops were created and evaluated. Jennifer also has experience as a Senior Management Analyst for the City of South Pasadena, managing rebate programs and environmental initiatives, and has progressively advanced through roles at the City of Colton and the City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department. Educationally, Jennifer holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from California State University-San Bernardino.
