Shaun Banther

Shaun Banther has served as the Director of University Communications at Eastern New Mexico University since July 2018, also holding the position of HLC Data Coordinator, where responsibilities include data collection for Higher Learning Commission accreditation. Prior roles at the university encompassed Manager of Institutional Communication, overseeing integrated marketing strategies, and Coordinator of Dual Enrollment and Continuing Education, managing dual-credit enrollment with public schools. Shaun's additional experience includes working as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Communication and acting as a Volunteer New Mexico State Director for CASE District IV. Previous positions held outside academia include 911 Dispatcher/Communications Officer at Portales Communications and various journalism roles, including freelance journalist and staff reporter. Shaun earned a Master of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Eastern New Mexico University.
