Ayesha (she/her/hers), an ERG senior economist and project manager, has worked at the intersection of public health and economics for more than 20 years, supporting a wide range of projects for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and state agencies during that time. Her work includes conducting regulatory impact analyses, developing industry profiles, leading surveys and expert elicitations, evaluating government programs, and developing market projections. Through this work, she has developed expertise in a broad range of industry regulatory requirements, manufacturing practices, and public health topics, including food safety and recalls, pharmaceuticals (including antibiotics, biologics and biosimilars), cosmetics, dietary supplements, medical gas, clinical trials, medical devices, and tobacco and vaping products. She continues to apply this subject knowledge to generate effective solutions to client research questions where standard data are not readily available.
Ayesha holds a B.S. in economics and a B.S. in biology from George Mason University and an M.S. in agricultural and resource economics from the University of Maryland.
