Susan Day

Senior Economist at Eastern Research Group, Inc.

Susan Day specializes in analyzing the value of providing information on environmental releases of toxic chemicals to society and the burden on industry of providing such information. Over her 30-year career, she has analyzed the economic and regulatory impacts of toxic chemical regulations under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act and the Toxic Substances Control Act. In this work, Susan profiles industries and chemicals, estimates compliance burden and costs, estimates financial impacts on small businesses, and characterizes the benefits of regulation. More recently, she has expanded her economic and regulatory expertise to supporting worker health and safety standards for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Susan holds a B.A. in economics from Colby College and an M.S. in resource economics from the University of Rhode Island.
