Eastern Shores School Board is quite possibly the most geographically diverse school board in the province of Quebec. Stretching from Fermont in the North to the Magdalen Islands in the Southeast, its administrative territory also includes the entire Gaspe Peninsula and the cities of Baie-Comeau, Sept-Iles and Port-Cartier along the Eastern North Shore. There were 1078 students registered in 16 youth sector schools and 130 registered in five adult/vocational education centers as of Sept 30, 2022. Six of the 16 schools are elementary, three are secondary, and the remaining seven are combined elementary-secondary schools.
