James Travis III

James Travis III is an experienced production designer and technical director with a strong background in engineering and maintenance. Currently serving at Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, Inc. since June 2007, James has played a key role in designing attractions such as "Lock Down" and managing technical aspects of "Terror Behind the Walls." Additionally, James holds the position of Associate Director for Design and Facilities Engineering at Sphygmus Productions, overseeing photography and editing for various film and music projects since February 2008. Earlier experience includes work as a Facilities-Engineering-Maintenance-Construction Foreman and Maintenance Foreman at Raytheon Polar Services at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. James holds a BS in Electrical-Electronic Engineering Technology from Ferris State University and an AAAS in Industrial Machine Maintenance from Grand Rapids Community College.
