Chelsey Berlin

Chelsey Berlin serves as the Executive Director of the Eastern Trail Alliance since December 2023, focusing on nonprofit leadership, community engagement, and capacity building to enhance trail building campaigns in southern Maine. Prior experience includes serving as the National Director for Community Engagement Programs & Initiatives at HIAS, where Chelsea advocated for refugees and deepened community involvement in Greater Washington DC. Chelsea was also the Director at B'Tselem USA, promoting human rights advocacy in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and held the position of International Internship Coordinator at Tomorrow's Youth Organization, earning a promotion from communications officer. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from Brandeis University and studies at The American University in Cairo, along with secondary education from Northfield Mount Hermon School.
