Melissa Hein

Melissa Hein, PE, is a Senior Process Design Engineer at Eastman, specializing in Chemical Intermediates since July 2018. Formerly, Melissa held various engineering roles at Eastman, including Senior Technical Staff Engineer and Advanced Technical Staff Engineer, focusing on Texanol, Acids, Mixed Esters, and Oxo Aldehydes. Proficient in modeling software such as HTRI, AFT Fathom and Arrow, Aspen Plus and HYSYS, and Navisworks, Melissa began her career with internships at PepsiCo and Samsung Austin Semiconductor, and contributed as a Peer Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, where Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate in International Engineering.
