Advanced Chemical Engineer II

Mohammad Assaleh, Ph.D, currently serves as an Advanced Chemical Engineer I at Eastman since March 2024. With a solid research background as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Akron College of Engineering and Polymer Science from August 2020 to December 2023, Mohammad led the innovative design and optimization of the Electrical Coalescer (EWC), achieving an impressive 95% separation efficiency for water-diesel emulsions and securing a patent for its energy-efficient design. Prior experiences include roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where Mohammad mentored undergraduate students in chemical reaction labs, and as an Environmental Chemist at Summit Environmental Technologies, conducting pollutant testing according to EPA standards. Additionally, a stint as a Quality Control Engineer at Lubrex FZC involved testing automobile lubricants for contamination. Mohammad holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Akron and a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Engineering Management from the American University of Sharjah.
