Vasudev Haribal is a Principal Chemical Engineer at Eastman, focusing on strategic evaluation and execution within the Scale-Up and Process Innovation Division since October 2024. Prior to this role, Vasudev served as a Senior Research Engineer and Technology Lead at Susteon Inc., where significant contributions included methane pyrolysis for hydrogen production and CO2 transformation into chemical intermediates. Vasudev also held the position of Research Chemical Engineer at Susteon, becoming the youngest Principal Investigator for an SBIR Phase I project on a low-temperature catalytic plasma reactor for hydrogen production. Vasudev completed a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University, where groundbreaking research on perovskite-based catalysts was conducted, and has teaching experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in various chemical engineering courses. Additional experience includes an internship at SABIC focused on process optimization for polycarbonate resin production and roles in research and training in the chemical engineering field during earlier academic years.
