Justien Evans

Assistant Director For The Kids Martial Arts Program at Easton Training Center

Justien Evans has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2016, Justien worked as a Case Manager at Colorado Blue Sky Enterprises, providing support to families with disabilities. In 2018, Justien worked as a Nanny Manager, creating a safe and nurturing environment for multiple families, including children with special needs.

From 2020 to 2021, Justien served as an Elementary School Counselor in Denver Public Schools, assisting students in managing the effects of COVID-19 and addressing other concerns.

In 2021, Justien began working as an Adjunct Faculty at Colorado School for Family Therapy, where they helped develop course outlines, curriculum, and instructional materials for students pursuing credentials in Addictions Counseling. At the same time, Justien also started their own private practice, Soothing Sands Therapy, as an Owner and Therapist, specializing in working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

More recently, Justien joined Easton Training Center in 2021, initially as a Kids Coach, teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai to children. They then took on the role of Kids Muay Thai Program Lead, implementing structure and community connections. Currently, Justien holds the position of Assistant Director for the Kids Martial Arts Program, ensuring the program is running at a high level of excellence and providing support to students, coaches, and their families.

Justien Evans began their education at Colorado State University Pueblo in 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology in 2016. They then pursued further education at Regis University from 2018 to 2020 and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Mental Health. During the same period from 2016 to 2020, Justien attended the Colorado School for Family Therapy and became a Licensed Addictions Counselor.

In terms of additional certifications, Justien obtained several licenses and certificates. They obtained a license as a Licensed Addiction Counselor from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in April 2021. Justien also received certifications as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate, and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, all from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

Furthermore, Justien holds several specialized certifications. They completed a Certificate in Advanced Sandplay Therapy, a Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, and became a Certified Jungian Psychotherapist (CJP) from the Colorado School for Family Therapy in November 2020. Additionally, Justien obtained certifications as a Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist (CCBT), Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist, Certified Systemic Art Therapist (CSAT), Certified Systemic Play Therapist (CSPT), and Certified Systemic Sandplay Therapist (CSST) from various institutions. The specific completion months and years are provided for some certifications but not for others.
