Ramsay Battin

Ramsay Battin joined Eastside Partners in 2013 as a Partner based in Atlanta. Ramsay has over 10 years of venture experience, including as a Partner at Eastside’s predecessor, Southeastern Technology Fund. Most recently, Ramsay served as a Director at Arcapita Ventures.

While at Arcapita Ventures, Ramsay led the firm’s investments in Aspen Aerogels, Fidelis SeniorCare and Prenova (sold to Ecova). He was also involved with Arcapita’s investment in CardioMEMS. During his time with Southeastern Technology Fund, he was active with Alogent (sold to Goldleaf Financial), Best Doctors, RTO Software (sold to VMware) and SPI Dynamics (sold to Hewlett-Packard).

Prior to entering the venture industry, Ramsay served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development for HomeServ, LLC, an early-stage technology company based in Atlanta. He has also served in the Corporate Finance Departments at Lehman Brothers and Robinson-Humphrey in their private equity and healthcare coverage groups in New York, London and Atlanta.

Ramsay is an active leader of the venture capital community in the Southeast, having served as the Chairman of the annual Southern Capital Conference from 2007-2011, and has also taken active community leadership roles on the Boards of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Keep Atlanta Beautiful and the Learning Makes a Difference Foundation. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Ramsay received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and holds his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
