David Sturgess

David Sturgess has extensive experience in the aviation industry, with a career spanning several decades. Currently semi-retired, Sturgess serves as Head of Airbus Technical Delivery Management for easyJet since 2005, overseeing aircraft purchases and deliveries, including inspections and acceptance processes. Sturgess also held the position of Airworthiness Surveyor for the Isle of Man Government from 2008 until December 2023, conducting airworthiness surveys globally. Previous roles include Group Quality Manager at easyJet during its initial phase, Technical Director at Regal Bahamas International Airways, and various engineering positions at Emirates Airline, Gulf Air, and other organizations. Sturgess holds an MSc in Air Safety Management from City St George’s, University of London, and foundational education in aircraft engineering.
