Larbi Omari

Research and Development Engineer at EasyMile

Larbi Omari has worked as a Research and Development Engineer at EasyMile since August 2021. In this role, they have focused on studying advanced longitudinal control methods for autonomous vehicles. Larbi has conducted research on modeling and controlling the longitudinal motion of autonomous vehicles, created a simulator using Matlab/Simulink for modeling their dynamics, and developed various robust controllers for speed control.

Prior to their current position, Larbi worked at LAAS-CNRS as a Research Laboratory Intern from June to September 2020. Larbi also had a brief internship as a Worker Intern at C.I.B.E.L in July 2017.

Larbi Omari obtained an Engineering degree in Automation and Electronics - Embedded Systems from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse, where they studied from 2016 to 2021. In addition to their degree, Larbi also obtained several certifications. In 2015, they obtained a certification in FCE from the University of Cambridge. In 2016, they were awarded the Bourse Excellence-Major by AEFE - Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger. In 2020, Larbi obtained a certification in Control of Mobile Robots from Coursera and a certification in TOEIC from The TOEIC® Program. Furthermore, in 2016, they also obtained a certification in TOEFL iBT from The TOEFL® test.
