Kelly Moore, LPC-MHSP, NCC has a diverse work experience spanning various positions and roles. Starting in 2013, they worked as a Social Media Manager at Shareable Social, creating valuable social media content for different industries. In 2014, they served as the Assistant Manager of Operations at Red Dot Storage, providing customer service and assisting with system updates. Kelly then transitioned to the role of Office Manager at Atlanta Center For Positive Change, where they managed various administrative tasks and social media management.
In 2015, Kelly worked as a Master's Level Intern at Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders, gaining experience in individual and group therapeutic settings for adolescent and adult populations. Kelly received extensive training from seasoned therapists and participated in outreach events for Eating Disorder Awareness Month. Following this, they joined Center For Discovery in 2016 as a Counselor III, focusing on group and individual therapy for adolescents recovering from eating disorders and dual-diagnosis. Kelly also trained newly hired counselors and led various therapy groups.
In 2017, Kelly worked as a Psychotherapist at Atlanta Center for Wellness, where they offered individual therapy to adolescents and young adults. Kelly employed various treatment modalities based on the client's needs and evaluation, including short-term therapy approaches, DBT, CBT, art therapy, yoga therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and a person-centered style. Kelly also attended weekly team meetings and made professional referrals to outside providers.
After that, they joined Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists in 2017 as the Director of Admissions. In this role, they managed the admissions process for nationwide eating disorder support and provided information about services to providers, family members, and potential clients. Kelly verified insurance, assessed the level of care, provided recommendations, and collaborated with outpatient teams before potential client admission.
In 2018, Kelly worked as a Clinician at Doc Wayne Youth Services, Inc., providing sports-based group therapy to youth within the Boston Public School System and Framingham Public School System. Kelly aimed to increase autonomy, coping skills, emotion regulation, and goal-setting skills. Kelly also provided psychotherapy to individual clients in the adolescent age group.
Most recently, they joined Evolve Counseling Associates, LLC in 2021 as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice. The counseling center focuses exclusively on girls and women in the greater Nashville area, addressing their unique challenges through emotional struggles and life transitions. The co-founders have devoted their careers to working with this population for over 25 years.
Throughout their career, Kelly Moore has demonstrated a commitment to providing therapeutic support across different settings and populations, utilizing various treatment modalities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Kelly Moore, LPC-MHSP, NCC completed a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder from 2009 to 2013. In 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. In addition, Kelly obtained a certification as a 200-hour Yoga Instructor from CorePower Yoga Studio in 2012. Kelly also holds additional certifications as a Nationally Certified Counselor from The National Board for Certified Counselors and as a Yoga Teacher with a 200-Hour Yoga Certification.
