Katy Burke has a strong background in legal counsel and advice within the investment management industry. Katy began their career at Zurich Scudder Investments in 1992, where they held the role of Assistant Vice President. In this position, they reviewed marketing materials for compliance, negotiated compliance comments, and performed surveillance on registered representatives' business activities. In 1999, Burke joined Wellington Management as a Vice President and Counsel, where they provided legal counsel to the U.S. subadvisory business unit, including negotiating subadvisory agreements. In 2006, they moved to Eaton Vance Management as Vice President and Counsel, serving as the disclosure attorney responsible for all disclosure in registration statements and negotiating and resolving comments received from the U.S. regulatory authorities.

Katy Burke attended Saint Michael's College from 1985 to 1989, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Following that, from 1993 to 1997, they attended New England Law | Boston and obtained their Juris Doctor degree.
