Tim Burns

Tim Burns is a seasoned Project Manager at Eaton since July 2017, focusing on Value Analysis/Value Engineering to enhance product cost optimization through collaboration with Product Line Managers and Engineering. Prior to Eaton, Tim served as a Senior Design Engineer at Tactair Fluid Controls, Inc., where design and development of actuators and hydraulic valves were key responsibilities. Additionally, Tim held roles at Magna Powertrain, starting as a Product Engineer and advancing to Assistant Manager of the Innovation Group, where significant contributions included developing an Innovation Development Process adopted globally. Early career experience involved various roles at Webster Plastics, where foundational engineering skills were cultivated. Tim holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an AAS in Mechanical Technology from the State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville.
