Steve Layton is President of E&B Natural Resources. He is also Chairman of the California Independent Petroleum Association (CIPA) which represents 500 members and over 70% of California’s total oil production. Steve is a member of the Board of Directors of the Independent Petroleum Association of America and the Louisiana Independent Oil and Gas Association. He is also a member of the National Petroleum Council, an advisory committee to the U.S. Secretary of Energy. Steve has previously served as Governor of the Houston Region for the Independent Petroleum Association of America and President of the National Stripper Well Association.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the University of Tulsa. He has also received the Independent Petroleum Association of America Leadership Award, the Oil and Gas West Coast Industry Leader Award, and the CIPA Glenn Ferguson Award for advancing the understanding of the oil and natural gas industry.
