Ulrich Herberg

Ulrich Herberg, Ph.D., serves as the Sr. Director of Engineering at eBay since June 2021, where responsibilities include establishing a new software development center in Berlin and acting as Chief Identity Architect overseeing critical projects in identity and access management. Previously, Ulrich held prominent engineering roles at Yahoo, leading the migration of the payments platform to AWS, and at Verifone, where as the Sr. Software Architect, a successful app marketplace was launched. Experience also includes a Lead Architect role at Panasonic and notable contributions to the IETF and Fujitsu Laboratories of America, where multiple awards and recognitions were received. Ulrich holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from École Polytechnique, along with degrees in Technology Management and Computer Science from respected institutions.
