Frances Simpson-Allen has a diverse and extensive work experience, beginning with their current position as the Director of Policy & Market Development at Ebb Carbon since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Go To Market member at the same company from October 2022 to February 2023.
Frances also held the position of Botha-Chan Innovation Fellow at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from June 2021 to June 2022. During this time, they received funding from Roelof Botha and was involved in pursuing an entrepreneurial venture with potential economic growth.
From November 2019 to August 2020, Frances worked as the Partnerships Lead - SDG Strategy Hub at the United Nations. Frances continued their dedication to global development by serving as the Global Advocacy Lead at the World Food Programme from January 2019 to November 2019, and as the Digital Engagement and Partnerships Lead from February 2018 to December 2018.
Frances gained valuable experience in youth empowerment by working as the Program Manager in the Office of the Secretary-General's Envoy on Youth at the United Nations from March 2016 to January 2018. Prior to this role, they served as the Coordinator of the Post-2015 Strategy Hub in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General from January 2015 to December 2015.
Frances's career in international development began with their role as the Partnerships Consultant - Technology and Innovation at the United Nations Millennium Campaign from January 2013 to December 2014. Frances also contributed their skills as an Organizing Fellow for Obama for America from September 2012 to November 2012 and as a Parliamentary Intern for John Woodcock MP from October 2011 to February 2012.
Frances Simpson-Allen pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business between 2020 and 2022. Frances furthered their educational journey by achieving a degree in Political Science with a focus on Near and Middle Eastern Studies from SOAS University of London, which they completed from 2009 to 2012.
