Abdulrahman Hussein is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the biotechnology and financial sectors. Currently working at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since January 2018, Abdulrahman has contributed to the UniProt Group by developing automatic annotation production pipelines and served as a Data Discovery Software Engineer for the European Nucleotide Archive, focusing on sample data integration and ENA browser features. As a co-founder of Codeepy since September 2014, Abdulrahman has also held part-time lecturer positions at the University of Khartoum and Napata College, teaching Java and programming fundamentals. Previous roles include senior software engineer at SYBER Technology, where Abdulrahman worked on an online payment platform, and IT engineer at Sudan Financial Services, leading software projects. Abdulrahman holds a Master's degree in Advanced Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Software Engineering from the University of Khartoum.
