Fábio Madeira

Fábio Madeira, PhD is a Software Engineer who has worked on Bioinformatics Sequence Analysis Web Services at the European Bioinformatics Institute. Prior to this role, Fábio was a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the University of Dundee, where Fábio focused on Protein Structure and Function. Fábio has a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Biology from the University of Dundee and a Master of Science in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. With a background in structural biology and glycobiology/cell biology, Fábio has also been involved in research projects on protein domain families and interfaces. Additionally, Fábio has experience in organizing events, such as co-organizing the first TEDx University of Dundee conference.
