Artak Amirbekyan

Artak Amirbekyan, PhD, is currently the Chief Data Officer at EBOS Group Limited since June 2025, following a role as Head of Data, AI, and ML at Transurban from November 2019 to June 2025. With extensive expertise in enterprise-level data strategy and budget management, Artak has held significant positions including Executive Manager of AI Labs at Commonwealth Bank, where leadership of a large data science team was key to AI capability development. Previous roles include Data Science Manager at Caltex Australia, Senior Product Data Analyst at CoreLogic RP Data, and Computational Scientist at ESSCC, The UQ. Artak's early research experience includes work as a Research Assistant at Fraunhofer ITWM. Academically, Artak earned a PhD in Data Mining from Griffith University and a Master's in Industrial Mathematics with a focus on Image Processing from the University of Kaiserslautern.
