Tracy Owens, CPA MBA

Tracy Owens, CPA MBA, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles within the finance and accounting field.

From 2019 to the present, Tracy is employed as a Senior Business Analyst at eBusiness Strategies LLC. In this role, Tracy assists CFOs and Directors of Accounting of Fortune 100 companies in implementing new Lease Accounting standards, providing consultation on business processes and the best tools for Corporate Real Estate and Lease Accounting needs.

Tracy was also an Instructor at Texas Tech University from 2016 to the present, designing and teaching online undergraduate University Studies courses in the area of Human Resource Development. The courses covered topics such as Strategic Leadership, Staffing Strategies, Human Relations, and Adult Learning.

Prior to these roles, Tracy worked as an Application Consultant at eCIFM Solutions Inc. from 2017 to 2019.

From 2007 to 2017, Tracy served as the CFO and Consultant at Tracy Owens CPA. In this capacity, Tracy provided leadership to clients undergoing Merger & Acquisition activities, offered consultation on Systems implementation, and assisted with audits for large publicly-held corporate clients. Tracy also acted as an Interim Controller for multiple publicly held companies and served as CFO & HR for privately held companies.

Tracy's earlier experience includes serving as a Global Business Controller at Nokia from 2000 to 2007, where Tracy was responsible for Functions and Processes within the Corporate Real Estate group. Tracy was also part of the Integration team for the joint venture between Nokia and Siemens, creating Nokia Siemens Network.

Before Nokia, Tracy worked as a Corporate Accounting Manager at RSR Corporation from 1999 to 2000.

From 1995 to 1998, Tracy served as an Assistant Controller at Nest Family Entertainment, where Tracy was responsible for multi-entity reporting and consolidation for an animation company.

Tracy's professional journey began as an International Accountant at Intertrans from 1991 to 1995.

Tracy Owens, CPA MBA, received their education with a primary focus on finance and accounting. Tracy completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Accounting at Stephen F. Austin State University from 1987 to 1991.

Later, Tracy pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting at Dallas Baptist University from 2000 to 2003.

In terms of additional certifications, Tracy obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. The exact date of obtaining this certification is unavailable. Moreover, in June 2022, Tracy completed the Online Teaching Certificate Program through the Online Learning Consortium.
