Kris Cilia has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. They started their career as an Executive Secretary to NSW State Officials at the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union in 1989. After that, they worked as a Personal Assistant & HR Support to GM at GE Lighting from 1995 to 2000. In 2002, Kris joined Valspar as a Human Resources & RTW Coordination, where they worked until 2011. They then transitioned to Realise Performance - Your HR Department as a Senior HR Consultant from 2011 to 2015. Kris spent a brief period at Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety as an HR Advisor and later as an HR Business Partner in 2015 and 2016. From 2016 to 2022, they worked at Lindt & Sprüngli Australia, starting as an HR Advisor and progressing to roles like HR Manager ER/IR and Remuneration & Benefits Manager. Currently, Kris holds a position at ECCO as the Head of HR & Training, which they have been in since 2022.

Kris Cilia obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from Western Sydney University between 2008 and 2012. They then pursued a Diploma of Law at the University of Sydney from 2013 to 2015, although it remains incomplete. Kris also holds several additional certifications, including being a Predictive Index Certified Practitioner from Humanostics (obtained in 2023), a Cert IV Training & Assessment from Franklyn Scholar (obtained in 2013), being a member of AHRI (Australian HR Institute) since 2012, and being a Justice of the Peace in NSW since September 2004.
