Sophia Sachse

Sophia Sachse has extensive experience in materials development and engineering, currently serving as Head of Sole Material Development at ECCO since December 2016, following roles as Senior Research Manager and Innovation Project Manager. Prior experience includes four years at LEGO Group as Material Project Manager and Polymer Engineer, where key responsibilities involved technical development of sustainable materials, global partner management, and quality assurance of material specifications. Sophia began their career with research roles at the Fraunhofer Institute and KIT, complemented by internships such as at Bentley Motors Ltd. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from Cranfield University and multiple postgraduate certificates in Global Business from Nottingham Business School.
