Peter van Dam has a long and varied work experience. Peter started their career in 1997 working as a Senior Scientist for both Vitatron and Medtronic. In 2007, they became a PhD student at Radboud University Nijmegen. In 2011, they moved to UMC St Radboud as a Post Doc. In 2014, they became a Visiting Project Scientist at UCLA Health, where they conducted a clinical feasibility study to validate the non-invasive imaging of the heart based on the standard 12 leads ECG. In 2015, they were a Visiting Scientist at Erasmus MC. In 2017, they became a Research Scientist at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. From 2009 to 2020, they worked at Peacs BV, first as a Scientific Officer and later as Director. In 2020, they joined ECG-Excellence as Chief Scientific Officer. Additionally, from 2018 to 2020, they were a Senior Scientist and Project Research Scientist at UMC Utrecht, where they worked on Inherited cardiomyopathies and sudden cardiac death.
Peter van Dam has a varied educational background. From 1985 to 1990, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Hogeschool Utrecht, as well as a Bac in Electronics from Hogeschool van Utrecht. From 1991 to 1992, they obtained a Bachelor in Philosophy from Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht. Peter then went on to Otto von Guernicke Universität from 1992 to 1993, though no degree was obtained. From 1996 to 2005, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Biophysics from Open University the. Peter also obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biophysics from Open Universiteit Nederland from 1998 to 2004. Finally, from 2006 to 2009, they obtained a PhD in BioPhysics from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen.
