Laurent Sandrin

Laurent Sandrin is an accomplished leader in the field of medical technology, currently serving as Chairman and Chief Science and Innovation Officer at Echosens since July 2001, where a focus on innovative medical devices, particularly ultrasound-based elastography, is paramount. With a diverse background as co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, and experience in senior roles including Deputy General Manager of Research & Development and Chief Scientific Officer, Laurent has significantly contributed to the advancement of disruptive technologies in disease management. Prior experience includes conducting pioneering research as a PhD student at Laboratoire Ondes et Acoustique, where transient elastography was introduced, and as a Research Engineer at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, focusing on adhesion in the packaging industry. Laurent's educational background includes a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Sciences physiques from ESPCI Paris - PSL and a PhD in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
