Jason Skeens has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Jason started their career in 2000 as a Program Manager at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center, where they worked until 2004. From 2004 to 2016, they served as the Deputy Director at the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center. In 2007, they joined Blue Ridge Community College as an Adjunct Professor and held the position until 2019. Concurrently, from 2008 to 2016, they were an Adjunct Professor at the University of Phoenix. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Certified PREA Auditor at the U.S. Department of Justice. In 2019, they became a Peer Reviewer - Volunteer at the Council on Accreditation. Most recently, in June 2021, they joined Eckerd Connects as a Sr. Operations Director, where they are currently employed.
Jason Skeens earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania from 1998 to 2000. Jason also attended Towson University from 1996 to 1998, but no degree or field of study was specified for that period.
