Ryan Bamford

Ryan Bamford has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Ryan started their career at Veritape as a Support Engineer and Junior Developer, where they quickly progressed to become a Software Engineer. During their time at Veritape, they designed and developed PCI descoping and payments solutions.

In 2013, Ryan joined Eckoh as a Senior Software Engineer in Payments R&D. Ryan achieved notable accomplishments such as creating Eckoh's first large-scale message streaming and processing system and leading the recruitment of a new delivery team in the United States.

In 2018, Ryan transitioned into the role of Senior Software (DevOps) Engineer and Team Lead at Eckoh. Alongside managing a small team of developers, they played a crucial role in defining the initial architecture of Eckoh's future infrastructure and cloud native platforms.

Currently, Ryan is serving as the Head of DevOps & Development at Eckoh. Ryan is leading the company's Cloud Native Transition, including building new platforms and systems, applying agile methodologies, and migrating people and systems to cloud native ways of working. Additionally, they have been responsible for ensuring high levels of security and compliance, resulting in the achievement of PCI level 1 compliance and ISO 27001 certification for multiple cloud native platforms.

Ryan Bamford attended Runshaw College from 1998 to 2000, where they earned an Advanced General National Vocational Qualification (Adv GNVQ) in Information Technology. Ryan then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering at the University of Central Lancashire, completing their studies from 2000 to 2005.
