Anniina Koivu

Anniina Koivu is an accomplished independent design writer, curator, and consultant, with a diverse academic and professional background in design theory and practice. Since May 2011, Anniina has operated as an independent professional, while holding influential academic positions at ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne since 2009, including Head of Theory for multiple Master's programs and Professor of Design Theory and History. Previously, Anniina served as Director of Research and Head of PR & Partnerships at Vitra from 2011 to March 2014 and was the Design Editor at ABITARE MAGAZINE from 2007 to 2011. Anniina holds a degree in Architecture from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, supplemented by studies at UIAV Venezia, Italia.
