Christi Nam, CMP, DES, has extensive experience in convention and meetings management, currently serving as the Director of Convention and Meetings at the Ecological Society of America since June 2016, with previous roles as Associate Director, Senior Manager, and Conventions and Meetings Manager. Prior to this, Christi Nam held various positions at Booz Allen Hamilton from June 2006 to August 2012, including Associate and Senior Consultant, and worked at the Optical Society of America from August 2000 to June 2006 as Meeting Manager, Meeting Coordinator, and Meeting Assistant. Christi Nam holds a BA in History with a Minor in Sociology from the College of Charleston, completed in 2000.

Ecological Society of America
The Ecological Society of America is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of scientists founded in 1915 to promote ecological science by improving communication among ecologists; raise the public’s level of awareness of the importance of ecological science; increase the resources available for the conduct of ecological science; and ensure the appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making by enhancing communication between the ecological community and policy-makers. The 9,000 member Society publishes 6 journals, convenes an annual scientific conference, and broadly shares ecological information through policy and media outreach and education initiatives.
