Prosenjit Aich

Prosenjit has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry cutting across both large Banking and Non-Banking financial institutions. He has a successful track record of having spearheaded teams in the setup of several start-up companies and turnarounds of large businesses while scaling up operations. A domain expert leader in the financial services industry, Prosenjit has managed customer segments across the value chain from Retail Consumers to Small and Emerging Businesses and Mid-corporate Enterprises. He has handed a host of asset classes including but not restricted to term loans, working capital finance, mortgages, lease rental discounting, home finance, auto and personal loans, property advisory, developer finance, capital market lending among others. Leading various teams with strategic focus, he has delivered on increased market share and strong financial performance.

Currently, he is Head of Aditya Birla Finance’s digital finance business (company in formation stage)wherein he is responsible for leading and setting up India’s largest independent digital companies for online financing both on the SME and consumer side. This will span across assets including payment banking lending products, e-commerce financing, online MSME loans, consumer durable loans among others. This will a first of its kind in India with lead acquisition to assessement to servicing being through an all digital route.

In his last role he was Head Strategy and Products for the NBFC and the Housing Finance Company, having joined the Aditya Birla Group in 2012 wherein he was tasked with setting up the strategy and product and process development; in a short time, he has delivered a business transformation from a fledgling business to a material business. The NBFC now ranks in the top 10 and has demonstrated a profit growth rate which is one of the best in the industry while the HFC has shown strong growth momentum in its first 12 months of operation.

He has a post graduate degree in management (MBA) from IIM Calcutta and is a graduatein Economics (BA Honours) from Sri Venkateswara Colege, Delhi University.
