Rachel Bruton is a professional with extensive experience in government and social services. Currently serving as a Confidential Assistant at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration since October 2020, Rachel supports the Office of the Assistant Secretary. From February 2017 to October 2020, Rachel worked as a Repatriation Case Manager at International Social Service, coordinating the repatriation of destitute American citizens. Previous roles include serving as a Legislative Aide for the Maryland General Assembly and a Peer Dialogue Leader at the University of Maryland Department of Resident Life, where skills in mediation and cultural sensitivity were developed. Rachel also has experience as a Legislative Intern at the Maryland General Assembly and a Communications Intern at Maryland PIRG.
