Sathiyan Sivakumaran currently serves as a Program Analyst for the U.S. Economic Development Administration, focusing on the Recompete Pilot Program since October 2023. Previously, from February 2019 to October 2023, Sathiyan worked with the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, where responsibilities included developing stakeholder engagement plans and implementing initiatives under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law aimed at revitalizing disadvantaged communities. Notable achievements included leading a team to create guidance documents for state and tribal programs, enhancing youth program participation significantly, and preparing comprehensive presentations on various funding initiatives. Earlier experience includes consulting for the West Virginia Community Development Hub and serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA, where Sathiyan contributed to community development projects and grant proposals. Sathiyan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, along with credentials in Computer Science and Business Analytics from Udacity and Coursera, respectively.
