Mark Simon

Mark Simon has extensive experience in the education policy field, currently holding the title of Education Policy Associate at the Economic Policy Institute and National Coordinator at the Mooney Institute for Teacher and Union Leadership. Prior to these roles, Mark served as the Teachers' Union President at Montgomery County Education Association (NEA) for six two-year terms. Mark started their career as a high school teacher at Montgomery County Public Schools, where Mark taught a variety of subjects and eventually became the elected teacher's union president. Mark obtained a BA with Teaching Certification in Education and Political Science from Antioch College.
