Layla Oghabian

Legislative Advocate at Economic Security Project

Layla Oghabian is Economic Security Project’s Legislative Advocate. She helps run ESP’s federal advocacy campaign to expand the CTC/EITC and advance antimonopoly policies. With over a decade of experience in issue advocacy, Layla has worked to transform the Iranian-American community into a well-organized electorate. She has directed a statewide ballot initiative campaign to repeal the death penalty. She has also advocated for the rights of people with disabilities.

Layla received her B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley and her Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
