Tashiana Tucker currently serves as the Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement at Beatrice Mayes Institute Charter School and as a School-Based Legislative Advocate for the Texas Public Charter Schools Association. Tashiana is committed to fostering community connections and engaging policymakers to promote quality education. Previous experience includes roles as a Lead Teacher and Grade Level Chair at KIPP Texas Public Schools, where Tashiana implemented data-driven strategies to enhance student performance. Additionally, Tashiana has served as a Board Member for Inspiring Minds Youth, participated as a Teach for America Corps Member, and held internships with the U.S. House of Representatives and the City of Philadelphia. Tashiana's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Spelman College.
