Sarah Saheb

Sarah Saheb currently serves as the Director for Illinois at the Economic Security Project, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this role, Sarah had an extensive career at SEIU from March 2010 to November 2024, where Sarah held various titles including Public Division Program Manager and Campaign Director, leading successful initiatives such as winning collective bargaining rights for 30,000 Colorado State Employees and spearheading the airport organizing campaign that improved wage standards at O'Hare and Midway airports. Sarah's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Political Capacity Organizer for the Ohio Democratic Party and as a Regional Field Director at SEIU Local 1, focusing on capacity building and political campaigns. Sarah began professional endeavors in education and civic engagement, with roles including Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University and Teacher in Honduras. Sarah earned a B.A. in Communication Studies and Political Science from Truman State University in 2006.
