EcoPeace Middle East
ORIT Zuaretz currently serves as Chairperson of the Board at EcoPeace Middle East and Head of Representative at the Jewish Agency for Israel, positions held since 2022 and August 2016, respectively. Additionally, ORIT has been the President and CEO of esd initiative ltd since 2013 and was a member of the Knesset from 2009 to 2013. ORIT holds a Master's degree in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from Tel Aviv University (2008-2009) and a Research Doctorate in Middle Eastern Studies and Islam from the University of Haifa (2012-2016).

EcoPeace Middle East
EcoPeace Middle East is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists. Our primary objective is the promotion of cooperative efforts to protect our shared environmental heritage. In so doing, we seek to advance both sustainable regional development and the creation of necessary conditions for lasting peace in our region. EcoPeace is a project oriented NGO, using both a “top-down” (advocacy) approach coupled with a “bottom-up” (grass roots / community) strategy that has proven to be a very effective model. EcoPeace has offices in Amman, Ramallah, and Tel-Aviv.
