Alvaro Ivan Saavedra has over 15 years of experience in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as Head of Purchasing at Ecopetrol since February 2009. Saavedra has held various roles within the company, including Senior Market Analyst and Market Intelligence Specialist, coordinating cross-functional teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely crude deliveries. Notably, leadership in the procurement-planning team for the Caño Sur Project resulted in significant cost savings.
