Laura Melendez Rueda

Laura Melendez Rueda is an experienced development geologist at Ecopetrol since May 2014, with a focus on the Rubiales Field and geological planning for geosteering wells, as well as work in the Middle and Upper Magdalena Valley basins involving seismic analysis and integration of geological support for development plans. Prior to Ecopetrol, Laura served as a Junior Geologist Support at Petrobras, where responsibilities included constructing static models and interpreting 3D seismic data. Educational qualifications include a Master of Geoscience PDM from Texas A&M University (ongoing), an online program in Leadership and Innovation from MIT Professional Education, a Geologist degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander, and a Master of Science in Geophysics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
