Claus Hackmann

Claus Dr. Hackmann is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of investment management and board governance. Currently serving as a Board Observer and member of the Board of Directors for multiple companies including Ecorobotix, Groundwork BioAg, motum by RepairFix, FortePhest, and Computomics, Claus has played a significant role in overseeing start-ups and small SMEs. In addition to these positions, Claus holds the title of Senior Investment Manager at BASF Venture Capital GmbH since August 1994, where responsibilities include global scouting and due diligence. Prior roles at BASF included Head of Production for Electronic Materials in Europe, Head of Business Process Management for a billion-dollar revenue unit, and Deputy Plant Manager, demonstrating a strong background in operational leadership and process optimization. Claus earned a Diplom/Promotion in Chemistry from the University of Münster and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC Santa Barbara.
