Carlos Calvo Ambel

Carlos Calvo Ambel is an experienced environmental policy expert currently serving as an Executive Committee member at ECOS since June 2022. As Senior Director of non-road policy and analysis at Transport & Environment since January 2015, Carlos has held several positions, including Director of Trends and Analysis and Transport and Energy Analyst. Previous roles include Financial Assistant at the European Commission and Assistant to the Environment Attaché Coordinator at the Spanish Permanent Representation to the EU. Carlos began a career in environmental consultancy at Abengoa and Cambyoptima and has contributed to various international projects, including REDD+ policy analysis and carbon market regulation. Academic credentials include a Master in Public Administration in Environmental Science & Policy from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from Universidad Pablo de Olavide.
