Ecosan Services Foundation (ESF) is a section 8 non-profit organisation established in 2006 with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and in association with the Innovative Ecological Sanitation Network of India (IESNI). Ever since its establishment, ESF has gained extensive experience in capacity development, policy building, awareness raising, project implementation and consulting in the sustainable sanitation field in South Asia. ESF provides environmental consulting towards developing sustainable cities and towns. With its extensive national & international network in the WASH sector, ESF conducts Research & development projects along with pilot scale and full scale implementation of successful innovations. Capacity building being one of its core strengths, ESF has developed innovative courses on sustainable sanitation which follow a participatory, cross-institutional and inter-disciplinary approach.
