Jose Tumkaya has extensive experience in the environmental markets and commodities industry. Jose started their career in 2001 at J.P. Morgan, where they served as the Executive Director for Environmental Markets and Commodities Principal Investments until 2013. During their time at J.P. Morgan, they were responsible for managing investments in this sector.

In 2009, Tumkaya joined ecosecurities, a J.P. Morgan company, as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they co-managed the ecosecurities business globally and reported to the Board of Directors. Jose was also responsible for managing the world's largest carbon emissions reduction portfolio, consisting of over 50 million tons CO2e and 700 projects worldwide. Jose Tumkaya completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Finance and Management from The Wharton School between 1997 and 2001.
