Pablo Fernandez has extensive work experience in the field of climate change and environmental markets. Pablo served as the Chief Executive Officer at EcoSecurities starting in 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at UNFCCC, including being a member of the Meth Panel and the Registration and Issuance Team from 2010 to 2013. Pablo also worked as a Climate Advisor at BVRio from 2017 to 2020. In addition, they held positions at Mercuria Energy Trading S.A., including Head of Environmental Markets from 2014 to 2017 and Head of Portfolio Management from 2011 to 2013. Pablo worked at EcoSecurities from 2003 to 2011, serving as the South East Asia Manager and the South America CDM Implementation Manager. Prior to that, they worked as a Professor at CNI, where they contributed to the Capacity Building Program for the Development of CDM activities and Climate Change Science from 2006 to 2008.

Pablo Fernandez completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Science from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Pablo later pursued a Master's degree in Energy and Environmental Planning from the same institution, attending from 2004 to 2005. In 2013, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Business School Lausanne (BSL) through their Executive MBA program, completing their studies in 2014.
