Robbie Staniforth

Robbie joined Ecosurety in 2011 as an account manager to help manufacturers and retailers of packaging, electrical goods and batteries understand their environmental obligations. Since then he was promoted to manage customer services, and later the commercial function for the company.

Having gained a wealth of experience in regulatory affairs, waste issues and secondary commodity market analysis, he now uses his skills internally as an operational board member and externally to influence legislation change as head of policy. He is responsible for liaising with government, regulators and industry organisations to articulate complex views and interests and to provide high-level policy expertise, industry insight and market analysis to our members.

Robbie is also the current chair of the Packaging Scheme Forum (PSF), which he founded in 2018 to represent the views of compliance schemes and help the government to improve producer responsibility in the UK. His passion for industry collaboration extends to his directorship of the WEEE Scheme Forum (WSF), which provides a similar function for waste electronics, and his position on the board of the Resource Association, a professional advocacy body for the reprocessing and recycling industries. Robbie is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Waste Management (CIWM).
